Heart of Gloucestershire Community Awards 2013The important role played by young carers is being recognised by our Trust which, for the second year running, is sponsoring the Caring Hero (Under 18) category of the Heart of Gloucestershire & Community Awards. The awards, which are being held later this month, recognise and celebrate the community heroes who do so much to help others.

walk a mile in my shoesHealth improvement facilitators from Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust will be joining local charity Carers Gloucestershire on Saturday 15 June to recognise the important role played by the 63,000 unpaid carers in the county and to help publicise the range of advice and support services available .   ‘Walk a Mile in my Shoes’ is being run as part of national Carer’s week, to recognise the difference that carers make in Gloucestershire.  Open to all ages, the one-mile walk round Gloucester Park starts at 11am and walkers are asked to raise a minimum £10 sponsorship.
