NHS 111  NHS 111 - the national telephone number that makes it easier for you to access local healthcare advice - is now available in Gloucestershire. 

By dialling 111, you can access advice and local NHS healthcare services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls from landlines and mobiles are free.

NHS 111 gets you through to a team of fully trained call advisers, who are supported by experienced clinicians.  They will ask you questions to assess your symptoms and give you the healthcare advice you need or direct you to the right local service. If they think you need an ambulance, they will send one immediately.

You should call NHS 111 if:
•        You need medical help fast, but it is not a 999 life threatening emergency
•        You don’t know who to call for medical help; or
•        You don’t think it can wait for an appointment with your GP (or if you don’t have a GP).
