Volunteer Gordon Blewitt, nominated Volunteer of the Year for his work at Dilke Memorial Hospital Local people are being invited to drop in to our volunteer recruitment events at the community hospitals in the Forest of Dean this month. 

Dilke Memorial Hospital and Lydney and District Hospital are looking for volunteers to cover a range of tasks, such as visiting patients, carrying out surveys and welcoming visitors.

Matron Mandy Hampton and staff will be on hand to welcome visitors for an informal chat about the many ways people can help out in their local hospital.

  • Dilke Memorial Hospital:  training room from 2.00pm-4.00pm on Wednesday 19 June
  • Lydney & District Hospital: Stonebury House from 10.00am-12 noon on Tuesday 25 June
